Re: Moving to a new place without knowing anyone

Hiya, I moved 500 miles for the course (north east Scotland to South central England). I found it a little intimidating, but was also really excited. I moved in with a 3rd year from the same course, who was able to answer all my questions and was understanding when I came home ranting about somethin...

Ages for recognition memory test, RBMT and EMQ

does anyone know what ages the following tests are normed up to?
- Warrington Recognition Memory Test

References would be appreciated :)

mr_tippy, I don't think this counts as withholding information, simply trying to find out my options as a "just in case" measure. This is all dependent on a number of factors - me being allowed out there, us still being together following 2 years long distance etc. As much as I would like to continu...

Working in other countries

Hi guys, Not sure if I've posted this in the right place or if my questions have even been answered before but here goes. Bascially I'm just looking at a bit of forward planning. My other half is in the army, and so for obvious reasons doesn't have any control over where he lives/works. It's cropped...

Hi Ruthie, Not possible to interview the parents unfortunately, I need a draft done by tonight so only able to hypothesise about the reasons for increased stress. The children varied in age from 4-16, with an average of about 10. The group ran from Jan-March so can't think of anything else that migh...

Thanks for these Euclid, I'll have a look and see which I can get access to. My project was looking at a parenting group for ASD and used pre and post measures of parenting stress. The reliable change index shows that 2 of my 4 significant cases actually scored worse on parenting stress after the gr...

Hi there, I moved 500 miles away to start training. Clearly what was right for me may not be right for you but personally I feel it was the best decision I ever made. I never wanted to stay put where I was living and although it was scary to make the move, I've never looked back. It is difficult in ...

Urgent request for evidence on parenting stress

Hi all, I'm trying to find evidence for an idea I had for the discussion of my research project. I'm after something that might suggest parents of children with ASD feel more stressed after gaining an insight into their child's condition. I'm trying to show that some of my parents who were more stre...

Just to reassure where possible, if someone accepts a course and has further interviews, the clearing house will cancel them even if the person forgets. If they don't accept a course I guess they haven't made their mind up. Edinburgh got a double rejection last year both from me and from the clearin...
