We're going to have the DJ play it at our reception for a laugh. I thought about doing that too! In terms of double-barreled, NOTHING goes with my current surname, except for the possible "Pipe". Will leave it up to your imaginations what my surname is. My cousin's maiden name was Bullen and she be...

I'm quite traditional in that I like the idea of changing my name and being a family unit (plus no one in their right mind would change their name to mine!). Only problem is that since he hasn't had the sense to propose yet (after 5 years!) that I will be starting training with my maiden name, proba...

Am I being a bit dense? What safety issues? I was just thinking, as Miriam says, that I wouldn't like the risk of having a client track me down. Obviously you can be ex-directory etc but if you have a different name that you use at home then they have very little chance of being able to find you. I...

Keeping your maiden name?

Hi guys, I've looked around to see if this has been posted before, can't find anything but apologies if you've discussed it before. I've been wondering for a while what people's opinions are on keeping your maiden name professionally when you get married? I'm not engaged or anything (yet) but have a...

I'm taking the whole of sept off - ditto tiger I finish on 28th August. Have been saving to try and make sure I have 1 month's salary so that I can actually live until the 1st pay cheque comes through. My current manager has also been brilliant and arranged for me to take A/L (although I only have 6...

Hi ABC, I know exactly how you're feeling - ever since I realised how competitive the DClinPsy was I just focused on preparing for interview - getting volunteer experience, the first AP post, the 2nd, and then the applying process. I always thought that once you were on, the hard part was over. Only...

I'm sooo excited to hear how you all got on! I've had a place for 6 weeks now and cancelled my Edinburgh interview and it just seems like such a long wait - imagine if I'd been rejected at the beginning of April and had to wait til now for Edinburgh! Yeesh!
Good luck to all of you x

no idea how they will be split or how they will allocate them but I would guess that they will be given to reserve list people...as I understand it NES are negotiating with each course as to how they want to make their offers. That's all I know I'm afraid!

just so people know, I spoke to my supervisor and she mentioned about the possible extra places for G and E. Seemingly CAMHS have got some money and so are able to take more trainees. There's meant to be an urgent meeting between heads of services to decide whether they can manage to fit in more thi...

my opinion is it's better to know, and try not to let it affect your performance at your next interview. after all, every uni focuses on something different...
