Re: Pre-interview tests UEL/Salomons

A really tricky exam! I guess we did the best we could at the time whatever happens.

Interview dates for all the unis are here:

Re: Pre-interview tests UEL/Salomons

I botched the writing task. I catastrophically misinterpreted the task and had to restart 15 mins in  Hopefully my furious attempts to make up for lost time at least amounted to something.. Oh no that’s awful! I feel like I might have misunderstood too, it wasn’t what I was expecting which re...

Re: Doing a conversion course and options

If you don’t have any experience in relevant areas I would suggest support work / nursing assistant / healthcare assistant as a good starting point in any relevant area. You can do bank work whilst doing your course so you are flexible on how many shifts you do depending on your uni workload and dea...

Ugh that was not good. Consoling myself with a large glass of wine 🍷. How did everyone else find it?
Pretty horrendous! But I guess it’s done ha! I forgot to ask when we’re likely to hear, anyone know?

Re: Pre-interview tests UEL/Salomons

Yeah I don’t think there’s much notice but if you think you meet the minimum criteria keep the day free and get revising! It’s weird to revise when you don’t even know for sure you’re sitting the test but I’m starting to prep now

Re: Any interest in an applications webinar?

I’d be happy with any of those topics, all sound useful! I have one screening test this year (Surrey) so as others have said that could be useful too!

Re: What is the view on online/distance learning masters?

I don’t really know for sure as it’s only been a year since I graduated and last year I was focusing mainly on my first Clin psy application whilst staying in the same job. I got an interview last year but this was based on a research exam not my form per se. Interestingly my feedback for a research...

Re: What is the view on online/distance learning masters?

I did a distance learning masters - I don’t believe they’re viewed any differently than others - not that I’ve heard anyway! What I would say is depending on the course you may need to be available for certain things in the day time, for example I attended weekly online tutorials as part of my MSc a...

Re: 5 things I'm thinking today. . .

4. I'm seeing a new client next week for dog phobia... I wonder if the local dogs shelter will let us do exposure / behavioural experiments there. But then I might cry in front of my patient which would not be ideal. Hmm. We do dog phobia treatment at my work and use PAT dogs, I’ve also worked with...
