Re: My Transsexual Summer

I love this series. I haven't had any personal experience with trans people (or at least to my knowledge of course), so I've found it very interesting and eye opening to watch and learn a little more about the people in the show, they all seem like a great bunch of people. I found Sarah's story very...

Re: Psychological Assistant - Prison, Leicester

Oh wow! Congratulations on the interview and best of luck for it :)

I guess they must have to do some background checks before the interview maybe which might be why it takes so long!? Fingers crossed we'll hear something back eventually then!

Re: jobs demanding car drivers

Unfortunately I'm currently unemployed so financially it would be a major pain to have thrown away £100 on a test only to fail again :? However, similarly it would probably cost me a similar amount to put it back a month and have the amount of lessons I'd like to... Of course finances aside it's onl...

Re: Psychological Assistant - Prison, Leicester

It's so frustrating isn't it!? I hope they do send an e-mail even if I have been unsuccessful, it's nice just to know for certain one way or the other!

Re: jobs demanding car drivers

This is something that has been worrying me a lot recently as well. I started learning to drive at 17 but for some reason no matter how well I'm doing in lessons I completely mess up when it comes to driving tests. I've failed 5 so far, and I'm not sure my self-esteem can take much more knocking wit...

Re: Psychological Assistant - Prison, Leicester

Thanks a lot for the information that was useful - I hope you hear some positive news back from the interview!

Unfortunately I still haven't received an e-mail since applying... I guess that means I've been unsuccessful! :(

Re: Psychological Assistant - Prison, Leicester

Hi ps0u413c, I was actually just wondering this myself too! I went onto the online system earlier today but all that was there was an e-mail I'd received when I sent off my application and the one when I'd signed up the week before. Thank you for submitting your form. We are currently processing you...

Re: Feedback from NHS AP interviews...or lack of!

That really is unacceptable! I've only had one interview so far for a RA post, but they called me a few days later to let me know I hadn't got the job and they were happy for me to ask for feedback. To be honest I get to infuriated with the NHS recruitment process sometimes. Most other places will a...

Re: Psychological Assistant - Prison, Leicester

That's a good thing to know bw124 - I guess it's good practice! I think I'm managed to think of a situation I can use for that question, it's just a case of writing the answers well now!

Re: Psychological Assistant - Prison, Leicester

Thanks CleverHans - that sounds like a good example to use, I'm just not sure if I've ever been in that situation :( (well, in normal circumstances that would be good ha, but for job applications it's not helpful!) I'll have a think about it over the next day or so and see if I can remember anything...

Re: Psychological Assistant - Prison, Leicester

Thank you very much! I'm not sure if I'm very good at using the search function for this forum, I always seem to miss helpful threads! I've found a couple of threads which have helped a little bit, and I've roughly answered three of the five questions so far - I think they're relatively OK answers, ...

Re: What can I do now?

Thanks again for your replies. Sorry I wasn't clearer in my post - I had actually meant 'plain' Counselling rather than Counselling Psychology. I looked into Counselling Psychology the other week and after getting quite excited about it I then found the tuition fees and almost fainted - definitely r...

Psychological Assistant - Prison, Leicester

Hi everyone, I've never posted one of these before but after looking on the Job Seekers website stumbled across this advert which was a bit of a pain to get the information for so figured I'd post it here. There's not very much information unfortunately, but it's in Glen Parva which is pretty close ...
