Cognitive assessments for people with visual impairments

Hi I was wondering if anyone knows of any assessment tools or papers regarding measuring IQ for people with visual impairments. I am trying to complete a cognitive assessment and a bit stuck on what to do really. The person I'm working with has a severe sight impairment thus ruling out any of the pe...

Re: UCL 2010 reserve places movement

Congratulations Dan!!! Thanks for updating about your offer...good to know that the reserve list has moved 2 places at least! You're right, there's still quite a few unis that haven't interviewed and most of them seem to be London courses so the list may move a bit more yet, guess we'll see if it mo...

Re: UCL 2010 reserve places movement

Sounds encouraging that lists have moved previously. Dan - that would be great if you could update if you get offered a place. At least I will know that I'm one place higher! Unfortunately I'm not as high up as you, I'm 9th so the reserve list will need to move a fair bit for me to get an offer but ...

Re: UCL 2010 reserve places movement

Thanks for the replies...nice to know that the reserve list does move. Fingers crossed that it does! When I given feedback the chairperson of the interview did say that he had known the list to really move some years, especially after IoP interviews.

Re: UCL 2010 reserve places movement

Thanks for the reply Borrowed Cone. I didn't think that there would be much movement but wanted to hear other peoples thoughts or info that they might have heard or their experience of UCL's reserve place movement. I know it's good to be put on the reserve list but it also makes you cling to the hop...

UCL 2010 reserve places movement

Hi I have tried to search this using the search function but couldn't seem to find anything. If I'm being slightly dim, please point me in the right direction :D I was just wondering if anyone knows whether UCL went through their reserve list for offers last year? The reserve list this year consists...

Re: MSc Value vs Expenditure

Just to add, I think Ell is right, a MSc is what you make of it. I think one of the most important things is that you really want to do it and are interested in the course you are on. My MSc was a pretty intense year and if I hadn't enjoyed it then I think I would have really struggled, that's not t...

Re: MSc Savings Expenditure

Hi Thought I would share my experience of MSc on this post. I completed a MSc in research methods straight after finishing my undergraduate degree. I chose to undertake the course for a number of reasons: - like Elizabeth I thought it would help to improve my employability, as it would make me a bit...

The end is nigh...

Thought I would do some procastinating on the forum...Is anyone else looking forward to it being Wednesday 5.01pm? I am - CANNOT wait until I (try to) block any more thoughts of my application. Feels like that's all I have done lately  Not that I have submitted it yet, still changing it around...

thanks guys for the suggestions...like the idea of an original art (and my sister used to a lot of art before she did her degree in stats and business!). Shooting star - I'm liking the idea of a charm for a bracelet, hadn't thought of that and that was my thought too, that it would be nice to give h...

graduation present

Hi, Just wondering if anyone has suggestions for a graduation present? My sister graduates soon and wanted to get her a present but not sure. I was thinking of buying something in the region of £100 - £150...did think of maybe a piece of Tiffany's jewellery but she has a lot of other jewellery and I...

I've also got the same dilemma...leaving my post soon and wanted to get something for my supervisor as she has been great. Would it be appropriate to buy a piece of jewellery (i.e. necklace) for her? But I'm definitely biscuits for the team but the tea/coffee hamper sounds a great idea, so I may als...

Hey...just thought i would add my thoughts to this. Samsol - I think I was in a similar position to you this time last time. I started a new AP post and found it difficult at first - there was already an established friendship amongst the APs and they seemed to be quite 'cliquey' at times. However I...
