I think those are some really interesting reflections about the process. I do think that although this is stressful, you can learn a lot about yourself and that can be really useful in your future practice. For me I didn't really notice a change, I have always felt like an average student. There wer...

People have a choice whether to read the forum or not. They can choose whether to even visit the forum or not! They have to take some responsibility. If they choose to view and get anxious, it's up to them!

Well it seems to be in the right place now, and people don't have to read the thread if they feel it will make them anxious. I wonder if the person who initially posted it was also feeling anxious and felt the need to share the information? Forum's such as this do cause high anxiety, especially arou...

That's a really misleading thing to say. Very few people fail the clinical doctorate course, so your sample must be quite skewed as it probably contains everyone who has failed in the country this year! The selection process is highly effective and more successful than almost all comparable profess...

Not all masters courses have percentages either so im not sure how they could grade your masters? This means the process isn't systematic as they can't treat everyone the same as it will depend on where you did you degree or MSc?

Meh...

So a school for the 'bright' young things :-) not for those who can pay lots of money? I think private schools have entrance exams too, although I may have made that up?

Im only messing anyway - always nice to have a comrade in championing the working classes :-)

Couldn't agree more - question is what to do about it? I think upping academic criteria is the wrong thing, but what's right?

I was mostly dedicated to the plotlines in Neighbours and Hollyoaks to be honest! Lol, me too :-) I alos had a few P/T jobs to actually pay for my education! This process is really tricky. It's hard for courses to come up with criteria to interview people (let alone criteria to rate them against ac...

As I said, I know loads of people with 2.2's who are amazing psychologists. Im sure with your post-grad qualifications you will be okay to apply to some Uni's.

I hope the Uni's you applied to consider your application. Finger's crossed!
