Maybe it's because I'm still not quite finished with training, but I really felt for you with the responses that you got to this fro...

Re: 5 things I'm thinking today. . .

1. It's my interview tomorrow and I'm so relieved it's here and almost over I am no longer nervous haha! 2. I found out my grandad is really ill and whilst it's not life threatening he isn't eating etc so it may well become life threatening. I am wondering how much is also being hidden from me beca...

Re: 5 things I'm thinking today. . .

1) It's beeeeen a while since I've checked in here! Hey everyone! 2) For the first time in years, I feel really disconnected from this application/interview cycle - can't believe it's rolled around again so quickly. 3) Why did I ever think doing qualitative research was a good idea? Why? Whyyyyyyy? ...

Re: Cheeky Favour-Successful Personal Statements

It is also about our founding motivations, which included a desire to disrupt the advantages conferred by already knowing clinical psychologists, and to open the process to a greater diversity of applicants. Plus we don't want to do anything to undermine the fairness of the selection process, or be...

I really thought I'd replied earlier - Geisha, I'm so, so sorry about your dog and the horrible response from that person. How utterly barbaric. So glad to hear he's at home and recovering. Hopefully being loved on and pampered as befits a dog in his state.

Not to laugh at your pain but  Seriously, nearly all of the shattered ankles I've known in roller derby have been like that, or in warm up, or when leaving the track, never in actual game play. It is absolutely sod's law. Here's hoping you heal quickly, much love and healing wishes to you :) D...

Re: 5 things I'm thinking today. . .

You poor thing! Isn't it always the way with "freak" accidents? Let's hope it heals quickly and you're eventually able to "dine out" on the story. I broke my arm very badly when I was 12 in a REALLLLLY stupid accident!! (Basically put my foot in a hole!!). Ultimately it resulted in no long term dam...

Re: 5 things I'm thinking today. . .

Context to all of my thoughts: I shattered my ankle on Monday night. I've had surgery and some plates and screws fitted and have a bit of a journey ahead in terms of recovery and mobility. Poor you!! Hope it heals and you're "up and running" soon. How did you do it?? Thanks Geisha :) I hope so too!...
