Religion

I am consider myself somewhere between a lapsed Buddhist and a nondenominational meditator. Should I put Buddhist as my religion? I have attended zen or chan buddhist groups for most of my adult life, but am not currently.

Re: Open Uni refusing to complete online reference

Have you asked the tutor with whom you had most contact directly to see if they can help?

What they have given you sounds more like a transcript than a reference.

Re: Bath University 2013 Entry

I like how they rate conversion course grades. Very sensible, imho ;)

edit

Re: Good Conversion, Bad Undergrad

Had some good news: Royal Holloway are more interested in the conversion grade than the undergrad. Very sensible I think :) I will keep contacting the other course centres.

Re: Good Conversion, Bad Undergrad

Spatch, all subsequent performance, and in fact the bulk of the undergrad, are at a high level. In fact the problems at the end of my undergrad and the counselling I had then really set me on this path. Looking at OU to see how much further study I would need. I have 180 credits from the conversion ...

Re: Good Conversion, Bad Undergrad

Re: Good Conversion, Bad Undergrad

Bluecat it is not what I want to hear but it is also no help to go on deluded and apply and fail for years. Also I didn't know that Lancaster will consider all candidates so that is a great help! Maybe I could bulk out my conversion to an undergrad at the OU as you say. In retrospect I ought to have...

Re: Alternative Handbook 2013

A guide to the courses that gives the results of a survey current students at each course complete. So it is an alternative to the info the courses provide at the clearing house and their own websites. So it has data on respondents' academic experience prior to training, amount and types of work exp...

Re: Good Conversion, Bad Undergrad

Well I had a reply from one course. They suggested I do another undergrad?! How depressing and, to my mind, idiotic. I would do a masters but what undergrad would I do that would help having already done the conversion and done well? I feel like there is no way around this hurdle right now. Hoping f...

Good Conversion, Bad Undergrad

Hi. I have a question about selection and the relative merit given to my first degree and conversion. I had some problems towards the end of my first degree and struggled to complete it, I got a third. In my conversion at Staffs I got a distinction. I am worried though that in the shortlisting proce...
