Re: QUB Application

I don't see it either. I wonder if they have actually looked? You could send them a screenshot or just phone them up.

Re: Advice needed - HCPC registration

They can but it is clearly indicated in the decision as a suspension rather than striking off. The panel can: - take no further action; - caution the registrant; - make conditions of practice that the registrant must work under; - suspend the registrant; or - strike the registrant's name from the Re...

Re: Advice needed - HCPC registration

That's difficult. Given the small number struck off it's hard to avoid a bit of 'guess the case'. Maybe that also explains your caution, which otherwise seemed a bit over the top. If, say, the struck off registrant was an important part or even the lead of a private healthcare organisation then that...

Re: AP or PHD and NHS vs Private

First, 1:100 or 1% is still way off, if courses quoted you that ratio then they lead you astray by a good margin (more than double). The most competitive last year was Coventry & Warwick at 2.36%, followed by IOPPN (2.64%). The only course with 1000+ applicants is UCL and they offer 42 places! The l...

Re: AP or PHD and NHS vs Private

It's not 1:100 for Dclinpsy places to applicants overall, this is a common misunderstanding due to each applicant applying to 4 courses. Overall it's a 16% success rate https://www.leeds.ac.uk/chpccp/ see the bottom of the page.

Re: Evidencing 8a Work

Very interesting, I've never been through it but will chip in tuppence nonetheless. Was the job underbanded in the advert (ie does it match your current duties) or are you doing more than the JD? Are you in a position to apply for 8a posts elsewhere as a means of pushing it, even if you would really...

Re: Applying UK supervised internship hours to LPCA license?

I think the question is the definition of regionally accredited, do they mean accredited in NC, or in the region it is delivered? I'd guess the latter, otherwise why not just say NC accredited? It is very likely they have a process for checking out of state counselling qualifications for equivalence...

Re: Transactional analysis

It's niche but legitimate. I think the fact it's niche means there's not a huge amount of research. Games people play is a classic. Our Dclinpsy, Oxford, has a couple of days teaching on TA during first year.

Re: Help Please, HR Nightmare

You really need advice from a lawyer. They will know who to speak to and the magic words to say.

"I'm a lawyer, from McDougall and McDougall, acting on behalf of Arya, who it appears you are trying to shaft."

Head of HR, division head and maybe CEO would be my guess.
