Survey re Facebook and achievement striving, please help

Post by Annie232 » Mon May 19, 2014 12:17 pm

Hi everyone,

I am an MSc psychology student at the University of Derby and was wondering if you would kindly participate in my web survey investigating Facebook use in relation to achievement striving.

It is anonymous and only takes 10 minutes to complete.

The research project has received ethical approval from the Ethics Commitee of the University of Derby. My supervisor is Dr. Zaheer Hussain. Further information is provided in the participant information in the link below.

Thank you so much! Your participation is greatly appreciated :D

Done. V interesting! Sometimes I've noticed that FB can affect my mood and I do find that I become bitter towards others... yet I can't delete the bloody thing
There may not always be a solution to the problem, but there is always another perspective...

Yeah, I'd agree with that Ben.

This was quick to do, though I got distracted by opening my facebook to check how many friends I have (66, I'm picky about who I add).

I have a max 100 policy. I decided I can't possibly be in regular contact with more than that number :P

Done. Although I didn't like your relationship status question- I selected 'dating' as the closest, but it was a shame you didn't have a 'cohabiting' option which I think is quite different. But that is a bug bear of mine, and yours was not as bad as the questionnaires that make you choose between single and married- I always choose single, although I think married is probably more similar to my relationship (cohabiting, long-term partner, financially joined etc.)

Completed but I found it impossible to know how many photo's I had posted on facebook, as it seems to only tell you how many photos you are tagged in (which is a totally different question)...

Oh, I just put the number it gave me. I thought 21 seemed a lot when I only remember uploading about 6.

Thank you very much for making the effort to participate :D

Just 90 more participants to find. So if anyone still wants to participate, it would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone know of another forum where I could post this survey?

Thanks :)
