Cognitive loading

Post by hells1908 » Tue Feb 17, 2015 1:03 pm

Hello lovely people. I need an auditory loading task for my MSc dissertation but am a luddite at programming and stuff...does anyone have anything ready made that I could beg/borrow?

Ideally it would be e.g. selecting vowels by pressing a key whilst listening to a read out random selection of letters, or a certain number from random numbers read out. Accuracy needs to be measurable.

You would make my week so much less unpleasant and I will send happy thoughts into the ether for you :D

Did you have a look at PEBL Test Battery?

Vienna Test System from Schuhfried has a choice reaction time test(Determination Test- DT) where you have to press different buttons according to the signal you are receiving. For example when you hear a loud noise you have to press a grey button. Anyway, maybe you should look at something similar. But Vienna is not for free, you have to buy it.
