My name is Iana Alexeeva and I am working in the Cognition and Health Research Group affiliated with the Department of Experimental Psychology and Department of Psychiatry at the University of Oxford. We are recruiting participants for our study on cognition, symptom perception and mental health in asthma.
The study has been reviewed and approved by the University of Oxford Central University Research Ethics Committee (CUREC).
It is an online survey that takes about 30 – 40 minutes.
It is open to people aged 18 and over who have been diagnosed with asthma by their physician, and speak fluent English, UK residents.

The purpose of this research

This research aims to understand the processes of symptom perception and monitoring in asthma, the effect of asthma on mental health and vice versa, and the psychosocial aspects of chronic illness in order to understand more about the relationship between mental health and mental processes and asthma.

Who are we looking for?

We would like to hear from people
18 and over
Have a primary asthma diagnosis by a physician
UK residents and speak fluent English

What do you have to do?

This study is an anonymous online survey. You will answer a number of questionnaires regarding your mood, thoughts about asthma, physical activity, asthma symptoms and general health. The survey is completely anonymized and confidential.
The survey may take take about 30 - 40 minutes. You can save your answers and take a break and complete at a later time. You can quit the study at any time by closing your internet browser.
