Post by othello » Thu Apr 04, 2013 6:05 pm

Hi all,

Does anyone have access to

Lynggaard, H and Scior, K (2002) Narrative therapy and people with learning disabilities. Clinical Psychology , 17 33 - 36.

Thanks :)

I ordered this through the British Library but only have a paper copy which I can scan and email to you. PM me your email address and I'll try and send it tomorrow :)

Hi again,

I am really sorry but I got confused and don't have this article. I have a few other narrative LD articles though which I could send over to you if you don't have them already?

McFarlane, F. & Lynggaard, H. (2009). The taming of Ferdinand: narrative therapy and people affected with intellectual disabilities. The International Journal of Narrative Therapy and Community Work, 3, 19-26.

Wilcox, E. & Whittington, A. (2003). Discovering the use of narrative metaphors in work with people with learning disabilities. Clinical Psychology, 21, 31-35.

Hoole, L., & Morgan, S. (2008). How to trick ‘angry’: narrative therapy for people with an intellectual disability who have been referred for ‘anger management’. Psychology and Society, 1, 105-115.

Also, this book chapter is written by Lynggard and Scior if you haven't seen it already and might cover some of what is in the journal article you requested:

Scior, K. & Lynggaard (2006). New stories of intellectual disabilities: a narrative approach. In S. Baum & H. Lynggaard (Eds.), Intellectual disabilities: a systemic approach (pp.100-119). London: Karnac.

I've had to order articles from 'Clinical Psychology' through the British Library so that might be the way to go if you're desperate for this specific article?

Sorry again and hope some of this long message is useful!

Thanks for these! Would anyone have access to either of these?

Leaning, B. (2011). An example of a Narrative Staff Consultation in Learning Disability Services. Clinical Psychology and People with Learning Disabilities,9 (2 & 3, Sept.), 45 – 49.

Leaning, B. (2007). The use of Narrative Therapy in the treatment of a 19-year-old amn with learning disabilities whose life was invaded by anger. Clinical Psychology and People with Learning Disabilities,5 (3), 2- 7.

Cheers :)
