Health Psychology
Hi there
I am considering paths other than Clinical Psychology, and I am also interested in Health Psychology.
My question / concern though is that when I look for Health Psychologist roles, it seems difficult to find many at all within the NHS. A lot of roles seem to be looking for a Clinical Health Psychologist (so still having to go down the Clinical Psychology route).
My concern is spending a lot of time (and money) qualifying for something that doesn't lead to finding a job, especially as I would strongly prefer a practioner role, rather than a research / academia role.
Does anyone have any experience of to what extent this is an issue within the Health Psychology field?
Thanks very much for your help.
