Progress thread for Clinical Psychology applications 2012

Post by BlueCat » Thu Feb 09, 2012 9:10 pm

Hello people! Following the usual tradition this is your space to record your progress and successes for 2012! We have started a little early this year as UEA have already let people know, there probably won't be much more news until nearer the deadline date.......

So...

Start in black with where you have applied. Then change the colours to show progress:

Red for no interview
Orange for reserve list interview
Green for interview
Cyan for reserve list place
Blue for offered place
Brown for interview but no place

Use regular black text to show a course which you have applied to, but haven't heard from yet (as the deadline for notification of interviews isn't until mid March). Once you get any more news, simply re-post your updates (with new colours) on this thread! Since the selection tests are a replacement for paper sift shortlisting, there is not a colour for being invited to sit one of these. If, however, you have been informed you are not invited to sit the test, please do feel free to post that course in RED if you wish. For those invited to sit the selection tests, please update with interview reserve, interview, or no interview when you hear the outcome.

P.S: If you're not sure how to use coloured text, escapee's post here viewtopic.php?t=45 tells you how to do fancy things with your posts...

Good luck everyone!

Leicester
Trent
Birmingham
Sheffield

Invited to the screening test at Leicester next week. Not expecting anything but a rejection from Sheffield since they seem to have changed their entry requirements during the process of applying which I find incredibly unfair ! I was meticulous in making sure all my course centres accepted a 2:2 degree classification but now it seems Sheffield have changed their minds according to their website. Didn't think that could be even allowed!
Good luck everyone !

Edinburgh
Lancaster
Shropshire/Staffordshire (test thursday)
Salomons

I can't understand why I was invited to the S/S screening test but not to Salomons, as they require 1 year of experience by end March 2012, where S/S is 1 year at the time of applying?! Unless they have radically different definitions of "relevant experience".

(NB I obviously thought I met the minimum criteria to be invited to the test or I wouldn't have applied)

Has anyone else ever been in a similar position, who can shed some light?

Many thanks
