The Great Big Progress Thread for 2015
Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2015
1st time applying. I graduated in 2009, I have around 7 years experience (mixture of SW and AP) and I've nearly finished my MSc. I really wasn't expecting anything at all!
Not in preference order...
Manchester
Coventry & Warwick
Edinburgh
Glasgow
I guess that just shows how different the courses are - and what they're looking for in a trainee. I'm also miffed that I found out about Cov on the clearing house website (no email or letter). I'm wondering if that's why my box disappeared.... 2 more weeks until the waiting is over. I've had mixed feelings about this process, at points I've been perfectly patient, and then at other times frantically checking this thread!
Good luck everyone!

Well done! It's always good to have at least 1 interview when we are a first-time-applicant

Second time applying, no interviews last year:
Bangor
Manchester
Liverpool

Hearing the no from Bangor first I thought it would be more of the same! Pleased to say the least
Good luck to everyone still waiting to hear

I found out about cov on the clearing site but also got a letter today, i was kind of pleased that they had only ticked one box and that was i needed more varied experience, which i agree with.
Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2015
I got different boxes this year to last year. Appreciate the effort Coventry and Warwick go to to provide a\ little feedback but that's confusing. I suppose it depends on the shortlister.

I take that back... received my rejection letter yesterday with some feedback. Only 1 box ticked - Nice to have some feedback actually so I can improve on my reflection skills.moonbeam wrote:

A question to those with an interview at Sheffield. I have emailed my confirmation of attendance, but not heard back since. Has anyone received a reply to their confirmation email? Thanks.

Same for me, though I asked in my e-mail for a reply so I would know they had received it.Bubbly wrote:A question to those with an interview at Sheffield. I have emailed my confirmation of attendance, but not heard back since. Has anyone received a reply to their confirmation email? Thanks.

Not a great start, my second choice out of the running straight away. Ah well.
