Aww congrats all, they seem to be coming through now. My reject from Bath came through (also not filtered like the question was Firegal!!)
I'm now:
Bath
Cardiff
Exeter
Birmingham
Bit gutted about Cardiff which has just come through, as that was probably the most inclusive person spec, so I think I might be in for a set of reds now, but hey, you never know!

I haven't heard from Trent either. . . . this is when people start talking about royal mailstormy331 wrote:Well done everyone with greens!
Has anyone else yet to hear from Trent? No letter has arrived for me
Also worth mentioning to those with red for Trent how they explained their selection for interview.
Basically they gave everyone a rank who managed to get on to the selection test (lets say for example 100 people).
The selection test was a pass/fail exercise.
Lets say they are interviewing 50 people (no idea in reality).
If the all of the people ranked in the top 50 passed the test, they would have all been invited to interview. You could have been rank 51, done amazing in the test and still not received an invite to interview. So please don't go thinking you didn't do well in the test, you could have done fantastically

Yay Firegal and Elizabeth!
Well deserved!
And, of course, everyone else with the green.
Sorry about the reds, it can be soul destroying.

How bad is it that I'm considering "withdrawing" on the Clearing House website from the two courses that I've been rejected for?

Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2015
Well done Elizabeth B and firegal - am totally stoked for the pair of you
And all you other greens too!
Now, come on Newcastle, Leeds, Edinburgh and Glasgow - get a move on!
And breathe....

Second year applying, have a feeling its going to be the second year of all reds. Feel really rubbish right now, really hate this whole process

This just popped up in my inbox, potentially from my spam box.
Dear Applicant,
As a trial this year we are joining some of the other courses in asking candidates to complete pre-selection tests via e mail. The completing of the tests is compulsory to be considered for selection on the doctorate course. The data however will not be used to select candidates this year but to access how useful these tests are in relation to our current procedure to inform if we continue to adopt them in future years.
