I was sixth reserve and was offered a place Friday before last - I'm not sure if that is helpful at all!

I'm a bit overwhelmed to have things turn around so spectacularly at the last minute, especially having essentially given up and moved on. That said, I'm happy to say I've been offered a place at Exeter!

Bangor
Lancaster?Lancaster
Birmingham>Birmingham>Birmingham
Exeter>Exeter>Exeter!

I'll post some other stuff elsewhere tomorrow. I really shouldn't be awake right now, but I'm too excited. My brain won't stop whirring!

Hi - a colleague of mine was offered a place a couple of days ago and she was 8th in the reserve list. Hope that helps!

Well quite surprised and incredibly pleased to report.

Birmingham
Cardiff

Coventry & Warwick > Coventry & Warwick
Staffordshire > Staffordshire > Staffordshire

So happy - congratulations to everyone who has secured a place and best of luck to everyone trying again next time.

Wait, does that mean they gave you a rejection and then offered you a place?!

Congratulations regardless!!

I have already posted here thought I'd highlight the application process for me using correct colour fonts etc.

2008 application (practice run - had no were near enough experience):
Lancaster
Liverpool
Staffordshire
Sheffield

2014:
Lancaster
Sheffield
Staffordshire
Liverpool

2015:
Lancaster
Liverpool - Liverpool - Liverpool
Sheffield
Staffordshire

2016:
Lancaster
Liverpool - Liverpool
Manchester
Staffordshire - Staffordshire - Staffordshire - Staffordshire

:D :D :D :D
Determination really does pay off!

:) Congratulations!

I sort of turtled away from this thread a bit after my failed interview back in May. I am honestly happy with the outcome. I am glad to see people who don't get in the first try, or have to try to get in for many years. That shows you that it's a career worth getting into. It means your peers will all have the strived and have worked as hard as you to get that prestigious position. After only applying a year after my undergraduate, I would have felt like a fraud if I got a position. Pure and simple.

Well done to everyone. I'm looking forward to starting my next application in the coming months.
