Current line manager or past manager as clinical reference?

Post by psysus » Mon Dec 17, 2018 2:13 pm

Hi all,

I had a query regarding who to put as my reference for clinical. I have worked with a clinical psychologist (who is also a psychiatrist) back in Spain for several months throughout the years; however,I am currently employed by the NHS. My new manager is a nurse at an acute inpatient ward. My question is, would she be more suitable as a reference since she knows what is being asked for in a reference and how to use the NHS lingo, or would my clinical psychologist (who I no longer work with) be a more suitable option?

Many thanks in advance
