First time applying aged 30 after a previous career and a conversion MSc...

Final results for me...

Surrey (sat test) - interview 6th April :D
Salomons (sat test) - interview 24th April :D
UCL
Kings IOPPN

Overall very happy to get 2 interviews. Wondering if my split of interviews/rejections means I demonstrated my knowledge/aptitude better through the shortlisting tests than on my form, or if it was something else about me/my form (other than the huge numbers of applicants) that wasn't right for UCL or IoPPN. I'd only been working for a year (as an assistant research psychologist) when I submitted so maybe that contributed.

Huge congratulations to all for going through the process this far, it has certainly been an experience!

Best of luck to those invited to interviews too, let's try to keep calm and enjoy the opportunities!

First year applying, I went in with the mindset ‘this is just a trial run’ but as more time passes, the more invested I become 🤦🏼‍♀️.

Bath
Southampton
Surrey (sat test)
UCL

Good luck everyone! I take my hat off to those of you who have applied multiple times, shows real grit and determination. Admirable, an extra special good luck to you x

First time applicant. Waited until I felt ready. Feeling really hopeful but have a comedy movie binge prepared for the fall if no interviews are offered.

Third time applying with 3 years experience in various Assistant Psychologist roles. My first year I applied with only a few months AP experience but did get invited to all shortlisting exams, although didn't get any interviews.

This year so far:
Birmingham
Manchester
Southampton
South Wales

Best of luck to everybody!

This is my first time applying to the doctorate :)

UEA
UEL (Sat test)
Liverpool
Manchester (Sat test)

I've promised myself a spa day after this process regardless of whether I get a place or not. Make sure to look after yourselves during and after this roller coaster. Good luck everyone :)
Just heard back from Manchester - it's a no. Feeling relatively okay as I found the deductive reasoning test difficult and Manchester was my lowest ranked preference out of the 4 anyway. Hope everyone who has received a rejection is doing alright. Remember, a rejection isn't a reflection of who you are as a person no matter how tempting it is to internalise this :)

Felt the disappointment a lot more with today's rejection seeing as I was hopeful for Manchester. Would love to know if it was the test or application

😊 Very excited to have a shot at Lancs!
Was kind of expecting a rejection from Manchester. Still very excited about Lancs, but growing more nervous!
