First time applying:

Manchester (sat test)
Exeter (sat rest)
Oxford
King's College London
As a first time applicant I am sooo happy to get an interview, however I am extremely scared. I read in the email what the interview involves and I am dreading it right now 👀
Very excited and even more scared. Wonder when we will hear from Oxford..

Sending positive thoughts to anyone still waiting to hear from their uni's - such an agonising time!

Hi

It's my first time applying as a "trial run" as others said!

Holloway
IOPPN
Oxford
UCL
It's looking like it wasn't meant to be this year! We will see :)
Come on then Oxford put me out of my misery 😂
On the positive side at least I will have certainty over what I'm doing the coming year if they say no too!

2nd time applying! Wasn't invited to interview anywhere last year but only had a few months of RA experience when I submitted my application - working as an AP now so hoping for a bit more progress this year..

UCL
Royal Holloway
IoPPN
Oxford

Just feeling quite bemused by the process this year, I have come so far since 12 months ago but doesn't seem to be reflected in my application. Just one more to hear from I guess.

Sorry to see this outcome for you sorayarahall. I have applied for the doctorate four times. Last year, despite more experience and work as an AP, I received no interviews. It can be a brutal process but it's certainly resilience building! Good luck for your last option.

First time applicant. Waited until I felt ready. Feeling really hopeful but have a comedy movie binge prepared for the fall if no interviews are offered.

Leeds
Manchester
Newcastle
Sheffield
Now Manchester as expected as I found the deductive reasoning test quite hard. Still hoping and trying not to internalise.

I don’t think Leeds or Newcastle will get back until mid to end of next week so will need to distract myself. All suggestions on how I may do this are welcome.

Salomons
Sheffield
UCL

Royal Holloway

Managed to get an interview at Salomons last year but not this year interestingly. Really shocked about Royal Holloway.

All the best to you all moving forward, regardless of the outcome this year.

Second year applying. Had an interview at Bangor last year. Happy I get another go at it.

Bangor
Manchester
Lancaster (Sat Test)
Staffordshire (test invite)
Very happy about Manchester as I wasn't expecting it since I didn't place high enough on the tests to get an interview for Lancaster. Really feeling the anxiety now.

Hi All

First time applicant here. I'm fascinated and overwhelmed by this (incredibly long and complex) application process.... let's all hang on in there

Edinburgh (test + questions done)
Glasgow
Lancaster (tests done)
Trent (invited to written test day)
A healthy dollop of "Well done!!!" and "Commiserations" to all!
And to those in a similar position to me who are yet to hear back from most courses - I cannot believe how much endurance is required for this process! - the wait is excruciating!!! I think I applied to all the courses that leave it until the last day to get in touch......
