ClinPsy Progress & Successes ~ 2009!

Post by Elsie » Mon Mar 02, 2009 7:07 pm

Following on from this thread here is our space for us to record our progress and successes for 2009!
(see this thread from last year if you haven't got the gist!)

So...
  • Red for no interview
    Green for interview
    Orange for reserve list interview
    Blue for offered place
    Cyan for reserve list place
Brown for interview but no place
We could use regular black text to show a course which we have applied to, but haven't heard from yet (as the deadline for notification of interviews is still a couple of weeks away). Once you get any more news, simply re-post your updates (with new colours) on this thread! :D

P.S: If you're not sure how to use coloured text, escapee's post here tells you how to do fancy things with your posts...

Good luck everyone!

Two down, two to go. Usually I'm a very optimistic person, but I'm starting to sway towards the pessimistic side :(

I have to say though, UCL's rejection letter was fairly nice. It was useful to know that for 42 places, they had 752 applicants.

That's all I know right now. I'm still mightily shocked at having gotten any interviews, as last year I got 4 outright rejections!

I think that the UEL letters are out on Saturday (I'm not sure when the Herts letters are due out), so by the end of this week perhaps I'll know a bit more :?

Shropshire & Staffordshire - 22nd
South Wales - 4th
Birmingham - more clinical experience needed
Coventry & Warwick - more clinical experience needed

I was so pleased neither of my rejections ticked the qualifications box, and I'm hoping this means my lack of msc is ok! Glad the presentation is ok too so that I can use my form as a template next year. Someone nice also wrote "keep applying - you're on track!" at the end of the Birmingham one, which made me feel better :)

Thanks Megane. I got the letter from Salomons yesterday. It was a white A4 envelope, if that's any help?! Good luck, and keep us all posted with how you get on :)
