Salary £17,706 - Full time (35 hours per week)
Twelve month fixed term contract

An Assistant Psychologist is required by the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust to support the Director of Clinical Services on a range of projects. The post is supervised by Professor Michael Oddy, a Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Neuropsychologist who has many years experience in brain injury rehabilitation and has published widely in the field.

The post holder will work within a rehabilitation centre for adults with acquired brain injury. They will be involved in a number of research projects and key tasks include research design, literature searches, participant recruitment and assessment, data entry and analysis and writing of research papers for publication.

The successful candidate will be responsible for collating and analysing outcome measurement data from BIRT services nationwide and utilising this information to enhance the effectiveness of the organization. Conducting neuropsychological assessments with adults with acquired brain injury is a further duty of the post and training will be provided. Strong literacy skills are essential for this post and candidates should have experience in using SPSS and Excel. Candidates with a good honours degree in psychology conferring Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) of the British Psychological Society (BPS) are invited to apply. Projects may involve some travel to the various BIRT services, therefore the ability to meet the travel requirements of the role is essential.
