12 month fixed Term Contract – Full Time

We are seeking a psychology graduate with an interest in brain injury rehabilitation to join our multi-disciplinary team. The applicant should have an understanding of acquired cognitive impairment as well as the behavioural/self-restraint issues that follow severe brain injury. Good communication skills are essential, as are an understanding of behavioural assessment and modification, effective IT skills and data management ability. Flexibility and creativity in problem solving are important in ensuring that personalised approaches are designed to meet the very individual needs of our service users. The person will be an integral part of the staff team and will be required to run groups and participate in helping service users to access the community.

Kent House is a slow stream rehabilitation unit, providing care for individuals with very severe brain injuries. For some it is a home for life, but for others it is a transitional home. Whatever their level of functioning, ongoing goals are set for all service users to ensure that they are challenged to add to their competence and maintain their level of independence.

For an application pack please down load the documents from our website at http://www.thedtgroup.org/brain-injury/ ... ogist.aspx

Closing Date: 8th August 2014
