Thanks guys, that's really appreciated. Placements will be in ayrshire & arran which is perfect for me as i live in the south side. i've been working in lanarkshire for the past year which has been a bit of a nightmare to travel to (50 mile round trip!).

Hope to hear the good news for you guys soon. Good luck xx

Had my edinburgh interview today! Feel quite exhausted from the whole process! Came home after and had a really good clean of house and got rid of all my folders of notes etc, felt really therapeutic!!

On reserve for Glasgow and still to hear from Edinburgh so fingers tightly crossed!

update on extra places:
There will be an additional 10 places for 2009 intake on top of already agreed numbers and these places will be focused on CAMHS

Thanks for the inside info. Do you know if that means the extra Glasgow places will automatically go to those on the reserve list?

Crappedy crap. The extra place won't affect me as didn't put CAMHS done as a choice, nevermind!

Good luck to all who have interviews this week. Personally I thought the process was great, lovely panel, friendly atmosphere, and (dare I say it) much more personal/individually orientated than the Glasgow interview.

All the best x

Thanks for that info urmaserendipity, ... All adds to the fun of the reserve  :D Does anyone have any idea how the 10 places are split between Glasgow and Edinburgh?

And so begins the obsessive phone checking...

Lilly, I think I read somewhere (maybe even on here) that they will be split evenly between Glasgow and Edinburgh so 5 for each but don't quote me on that as I can't even remember where I read/heard it!

no idea how they will be split or how they will allocate them but I would guess that they will be given to reserve list people...as I understand it NES are negotiating with each course as to how they want to make their offers. That's all I know I'm afraid!

Maybe the 5-5 split rumour is wrong then. Thanks again urmaserendipity, really good of you to let us know what you know! :D

I'm sooo excited to hear how you all got on! I've had a place for 6 weeks now and cancelled my Edinburgh interview and it just seems like such a long wait - imagine if I'd been rejected at the beginning of April and had to wait til now for Edinburgh! Yeesh!
Good luck to all of you x

I was told that we would hear within a week to ten days. Thats the end of next week at the earliest, or the beginning of the following week.

The torture of it all...... :bom:
