I completely understand! I have thought about the same thing especially medicine but I know deep down its not really what I want to do. I don't know what I want to do except help people and i'm fascinated by the brain and psychology, body image, eating disorders, trauma.....

I know what you mean and I can see why from your sisters experience feel put off by it, I've looked at few support worker jobs and thought I'm not sure if I could do that. However like lingua - franca says it's not all like that and can be very rewarding.

So if it makes you feel any better I am totally lost too I'm hoping my epiphany will come soon! Good luck with whatever you decide :)
