Interview event run by the Minorities in Clinical Psychology

Post by MinoritiesinCP » Thu Mar 08, 2018 6:25 pm

The BPS Minorities in Clinical Psychology Pre-Qualification group are holding two DClinPsy mock interview events: one in Liverpool on 12th March and one in Central London on 22nd March.

These events are for people who identify as having a minority status (e.g. LGBTQ+, BAME, Mental health, Disability etc.) The events will provide an opportunity to ask questions to trainees and for applicants to practice interview questions with their peers and current trainees from various courses who also share a minority identity.

Due to the personal nature of some interviews, the event will provide a safe space for those who would like to reflect on their minority status.

The two events will be slightly different although they are not course specific e.g. If you live in london and have applied to Liverpool please apply for the London event and vice Vera more information and tickets can be found here:

Liverpool event, Monday 12th March 2018: ... 3437571947

Please note: whilst the Liverpools event is focused on applicants to the DClin we do welcome attendees from a Minority Background who are interested in applying in the future or are applying for Assistant Psychologist posts.

London event, Thursday 22nd March 2018: ... 3275219346

Due to capacity limitations, the London event is specifically for those who have received an invitation for an interview (or are on a reserve list) for this application cycle. When tickets run-out, do sign-up to the waitlist - we expect it will move!
