Do individuals marks matter as much as GPA?

Discuss any aspect of applying for posts or courses (apart from the clinical psychology doctorate which has its own forum section), CVs, application forms, etc

Do individuals marks matter as much as GPA?

I am thinking of applying for the clinical doctorate next year and I was hoping you could help me with the following question.
I have been going over my modules and grades from my undergraduate studies and although my GPA is a high 2:1 there is one module that I got 49.00. Do you know if in the application process they will look at individual grades and decline one's application because of a single grade below 2:2?

Each course makes their own decisions, there is no hard and fast rules. And GPA isn't really a term used in the UK muchm which might be why you didn't get any answers.
