This might be a silly question, but I just wanted to clarify what 'longitudinal health services research' typically involves. I'm sure it varies depending on the exact research question, but does it generally refer to longitudinal research into the effectiveness of a service, so in psychology what impact therapy services have on clients, what factors predict successful outcomes etc? Does this kind of research tend to therefore be quantitative in nature?
