Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2016
So at the end of an already terrible day dealing with the beginning of a horrible cold, I am now:
Leicester
Birmingham
Oxford
Hertfordshire
Right now I'm not holding much hope for this year, but as seen so many times before it just takes one. But for now I intend to set up camp on the sofa in front of rubbish TV with a cuppa & my I'm-so-happy-you're-home-from-work cat

5th timer. Never had an interview. Is it kind of sad that I'm super happy to be 13th reserve for South Wales?!
Take care everyone.

Just waiting for Southampton now. I feel strangely relieved instead of disappointed - will have to ask myself why that is when I'm less tired.

If the person you are talking to doesn't appear to be listening, be patient. It may simply be that he has a small piece of fluff in his ear.

Hi Becky1989. Congratulations on your reserve! South Wales tell you your reserve position in the e-mail. Might be worth calling Birmingham?

I can now say...
Birmingham
Sheffield
Leicester (4th)
Trent!!!
So today has been a whirlwind of emotions and basically planning my plan b route after hearing from Bham, then having the shock from Trent!! After multiple attempts at applying, I've finally got somewhere other than no interview

Thank you. It was quite odd really, the email wasn't personalised it just said "dear candidate" and then attached a reply slip for me to confirm whether or not I wanted to be on the reserve list. I obviously answered yes and returned it. Maybe they will provide more information once they are in receipt of the reply slip? As the email didn't even outline the interview dates or the process or anything. Quite odd really! If I haven't heard anything by lunchtime tomorrow I il give them a call. Thanks! Ps 13th reserve is a good numbersvr wrote:becky1989 wrote:Can I ask how you found out you were 13th reserve? Hi all!
I got an interview from UEA which I turned down as I've got a 16 week old baby bump and morning sickness and clin psych interviews definitely do not mix!
Might try re-applying in a couple of years once little one is a bit bigger... after several unsuccessful interviews in previous years, it's nice to focus on something else for a change.
Best of luck everyone, whatever stage you are at, you are all brave for trying
and I applaud you
Beth
