UCL
Bangor
Cardiff
Bath

Not holding out much hope
You only need 1 yes... don’t lose the hope.
Also, why would they send out the email that early? Ruthless.

Er, don't know. One guess could be because UCL and most univeristies are on strike for pay & equality + pensions today (and this week)? So many staff aren't working and they are still doing their best to let you know despite these conditions Fairytale?

Tell me about it, getting rejected by UCL before I had even got out of bed was not how I had hoped to start my day! It's only one course though, onwards and upwards!

First time applying aged 30 after a previous career and a conversion MSc...

Surrey (sat test)
Salomons (sat test)
UCL
Kings IOPPN

Best of luck to all, hopefully more courses will begin to get in touch soon!
I may be doing this wrong, I couldn't find a way to edit my original post. But as of today (04.03.20)...

Surrey (sat test) - interview 6th April :D
Salomons (sat test) - interview 24th April :D
UCL
Kings IOPPN
First rejection this morning, still more than happy with the two interviews I've been offered. Makes me wonder if I present as a better candidate after tests rather than just my form (I have only been working for 18 months after completing my conversion MSc, as an assistant research psychologist, so maybe on paper my experience isn't quite there yet). Curious to hear back from Kings now!

Surrey (sat test) - interview 6th April :D
Salomons (sat test) - interview 24th April :D
UCL
Kings IOPPN

Having received my 4th UCL rejection, I can tell you that they always send out the emails at that hour.

Second year applying, aged 31, two interviews last year at UCL and RHUL, reserve list for a place on the course at RHUL but wasn't successful.

This year...
Essex
UEL
UCL
RHUL

Disappointed that I didn't get the UCL interview this year, very much one of my preferred courses but very happy and excited about Essex!

It was good that UCL emailed instead of sending the letters by post this year, much more accessible I felt, even if it was bad news in the morning. At least the weekend is in sight to recoup!

Hi folks! Second time applying for me. Last year felt pretty gruelling but so far I've gotten a more positive response.

UCL (7th on reserve list)
Essex (interview & test)
Trent (invited to test day)
Edinburgh (completed test & additional questions)

Good luck everyone! I've gotten a lot of motivation from reading these posts in the past, so I'm sincerely wishing you all the best.
Got a letter from UCL this morning. Apparently they had over 1200 applicants this year, so I'm pretty happy I made it onto the reserve list. I'll continue to wish you all well.

4th year applying.

1st year:
UEA
Salomons (sat test)
Surrey (sat test)

IOP

2nd year:
Salomons (sat test)
UEL - 3rd reserve
Essex
UEA

3rd year:
Salomons (sat test)
UEL
Essex
Hertfordshire

This year so far:
Salomons (sat test)
Essex
UEA
UCL

Absolute relief and amazement at my UCL letter this morning. I was feeling incredibly deflated and low after what seemed to be my worst year yet, despite being the most experienced/qualified I've been. This is a random and unfair process and I've learnt that I can't forecast or expect anything. Feeling very grateful to have one opportunity this year. Good luck to everyone and thank you to those of you who are posting, even with unsuccessful outcomes - it has certainly helped me to remember that I am not alone (which is hard if all you see is others' successes!)

Very frustrating to not know whether rejections are due to poor test performance or weak application :(

Bath
Cardiff (sat test)
Plymouth (sat test)
Salomans (sat test)

Hi everyone! :)

- Lancaster (tests completed)
- Newcastle
- UCL
- IoPPN

First time applying, but feeling incredibly discouraged. This is much harder to deal with than one would think when starting the process, especially the uncertainty that comes from lack of feedback. It's inspiring to see people who are applying for the second, third and fourth time and finally having better results.

Thank you for the posts and good luck for the results yet to come!

This is my 5th year applying and to be quite honest I thought last year was my last - I have never actually posted my progress on here before, but thought that by doing so I might help to give a wider perspective for those who like me 'lurk' on here and feel frustrated with what does feel like an unfair process at times.

1st Year
University of Birmingham
Leicester
Oxford
Kings College London

2nd Year
Birmingham
Cov/Warwick
Hertfordshire
Oxford

3rd Year
Birmingham
UEL
Hertfordshire
Trent

4th Year
Birmingham
Oxford

Hertfordshire
Cov/Warwick

5th Year (this time around)
University of Birmingham
Hertfordshire
Coventry/Warwick
Staffordshire

This year I am trying my best to be accepting of whatever happens rather than viewing any rejections as 'I am a failure' which often crops up for many at this time of year!

Good Luck every-one! :D

Hi everyone,

First timer here - It’s nice to see others doing a trial run as well and getting as eagerly invested as I am (even though I said It wouldn’t matter first time round!)

Cardiff
Salomons
IoPPN
Trent (sat test) - I found this test very difficult so I’m not staying too optimistic. Sadly the dreaded test anxiety took over...

Good luck everybody :D
