Cardiff uni - psychology assistant interview

Post by skittles96 » Tue May 01, 2018 12:07 am

Hi all. I was wondering if anyone had any advice for an upcoming interview I have it’s for a Psychology Assistant role at Cardiff Uni (is this the same as an assistant psychologist just diff terminology?).

The nature of the role is mostly recruiting and assessing NHS patients for the National Centre for mental health. A lot of recruitment and standardised interviews / research. Any additional tips or legislations I need to be aware of?

would appreciate any advice! Many thanks

An assistant psychologist will assist one, or a team of HCPC practitioner psychologists. A psychology assistant may work in the field of psychology but may not have supervision from or work directly with a practitioner psychologist. Sometimes they do. Sometimes there's no difference, but there can be.
