What happens post offer?
What happens post offer?
Hi everyone,
what happens after you get an offer for a place on a doctoral course?
- are there more checks; do you then have to get a reference from your first honorary post x years ago? Do they count/prove NHS years of service? anything else to submit?
I'm asking as I had worked in another industry before this and had some time out of the NHS, so wondering how far back checks go (nothing to hide!).
- show right to work/ uk citizenship?
OR
- do you just need the 2 references on your application form, and wait for confirmation contract to sign, then wait to start day one?
thanks,
R

Re: What happens post offer?
Hey
For our course the NHS trust employing us did further checks to cover the past 3 years so we had to provide dates / employer details / referee names for every position held within that period.
They do quite extensive checks in terms of right to work in UK, DBS etc...but nothing you wouldn't expect from starting any other NHS job.
Hope this helps!

3. Registration and qualification checks
