Hi everyone!

Good luck to everyone who’s applied!

2021:

Birmingham
Staffordshire
Coventry and Warwick
Trent

Felt pretty rubbish after last year’s outcome!

2022:

Birmingham
Leicester – Don’t tell you where on the reserve list.
Sheffield – Number 10 out of 39 on the reserve list.
Trent

So, a very different outcome to last year and I did stay in the same NHS Assistant Psychologist job but completely changed my application approach. Felt a little flat after the reserve outcomes but I’m hopeful! If anyone has any insight in how the reserve list for places for Leicester and Sheffield has moved in prior years, I would be grateful! Or if anyone is withdrawing their places or reserve places. Now to focus on the Trent interview in May!

Not sure how anyone else felt after the reserve place offer but feel it’s hard to deal with even more uncertainty!! This process is like no other!

Best of luck everyone x

We've got a whole thread elsewhere on the forum about the experience people had when they got onto training that will answer your question better than one individual can, as people take very varied paths to training. However, this thread is restricted to the format described in the OP and is only about the outcomes from applications to training, not any wider discussion.

Hope everyone is keeping well - sending you all care amidst this anxiety provoking period. One is all it takes, and I'm very grateful to share that I secured a place this year (though funding for me would be a separate hurdle...) :

The UK Dclinpsy community has been the most helpful and supportive, so am trying my luck here to connect with any international or even home applicants (i believe outcomes are not yet out :() who are planning to train in UEA. Do drop me a message! Wishing everyone all the best as you await your outcomes as well.

:D
Unsurprising, honestly. Not an interview I'm particularly proud of.
At least I don't have to worry about moving to Devon though. Phew.

Decided to post as I've seen a lot of talk about poor school grades and I wanted to show you can still get interviews! To this day I don't know how many 'points' I got at seconday school (irish leaving cert) as it wasn't worth me adding them up. I had no idea I could achieve academically.

Psychology is a second career for me, completing my undergrad as a mature student I achieved a 1st and even published my dissertation. I may not be naturally academically gifted but I've worked my ass off and here we are! I am so grateful for these opportunities but also overwhelmed and feeling like the pressure is on now

Good luck to everyone who got interviews and to those who didn't keep your heads up! There is no reason you can't come back and smash it next year (if that's what you choose to do)! I will probably be here again myself. In the meantime, let's all practice what we preach and look after ourselves :salut:
